Ms Junko OGAWA is currently Executive Communicator, Public Relations Department, Japan Atomic Power Company (JAPC). She was born in September 1952 in the city of Yokususka, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She is a graduate of the Keio-Gijuku University.
Prior to taking up her current position in October 1998, Ms Ogawa worked from April 1975 in the Japan Nuclear Fuel Company Ltd. Her final position in this company was Manager, Public Relations Department.
Ms Ogawa was responsible for the creation of WIN-Japan in April 2000, and was appointed its first President, a position which she still holds.
Ms Ogawa is also a Member of Public Participation Meeting of Japan Atomic Energy Committee; a Member of the Public Information Working Group of the Forum of Nuclear Cooperation of Asia; a Member of Gender Equality Planning Conference of the Academic Societies Federation; a Member of Public Information Committee of theAtomic Energy Society of Japan; and a Member of Information Distribution Subcommittee of the International Nuclear Information System.
